Danilo Gervasoni (Bergamo - IT, 1987) is a composer, musician and teacher of electronic music and composition.

At the age of 17 he began his musical studies as a guitarist (electric guitar) with Matteo D'Aria at CDPM in Bergamo (IT). He continues his musical path as a self-taught approaching different instruments (electric bass, vocals, keyboards) and experimenting in numerous projects and musical genres (hardcore punk, metal, noise, electro-pop). In 2006 he graduates as a Perito Industriale Capotecnico Informatico (Computer Science) at the high school ITIS E. Majorana in Seriate. He obtains his first degree in Education Science (Bachelor's degree) in 2012. During these years he focuses on the use of electronic music, which thus becomes his main instrument, fascinated by its possibilities of timbric and formal experimentation. He also explores other artistic environments, particularly analog photography and performance. He then began his studies at the Conservatorio G. Donizzetti in Bergamo (pre-academic in composition) and then moved to Milan to study electronic music at the Conservatorio G. Verdi with Sylviane Sapir and Giovanni Cospito, where he graduates with honors in 2019. In 2022 he obtains a Master of Arts in Composition and Theory at the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana in Lugano – CH with Nadir Vassena, Giovanni Verrando and Alberto Barberis.

From 2006 to 2020 he works as a professional educator in various facilities, also doing his first jobs as a freelancer sound engineer, sound designer and technician. From 2020 he starts giving electronic music lessons privately and in 2022 he begins his teaching activity in the M.A.T., a private school in Lugano. He is also involved in writing pieces for acoustic instruments and electronics, performing acousmatic and live electronics pieces, collaborating with theater companies.

Recently his electronic music pieces have been performed for the 'Milano Musica Festival' at Teatro Gerolamo, at the MPAA Saint Germain theater in Paris after being selected for the 'Banc d'essai' competition organized by GRM and at the opening of 'ARS Electronica Gardens' in Lugano. He writes two instrumental pieces performed by the instrumentalists of OSI (Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana) for the realization of an A/V installation and participates in the 'ElectroPark Festival' in Milan and Genoa.

He is currently involved as composer and performer of electronic music in different projects.

In his aesthetic research he uses suggestions from extra-musical fields such as psychology, sociology and philosophy, which he concretizes through the help of new digital possibilities, with noise and punk aesthetic.
